Two Heirloom Café pastry chefs spent hours baking gingerbread, sometimes off the clock.

By their account, building a tiny edible replica of their Chase Street workplace required four hands and two full days to hoist gingerbread walls and apply the sweet mortars needed to assemble the structure.
