An online Farmers Market that lets you shop for locally produced goods barefoot on the couch.

Athens Land Trust and West Broad Market Garden
The Land Trust sets aside land through easements for conservation. The market garden is one of their projects that helps to provide fresh foods to lower income neighborhoods. Join them every Saturday for fresh produce, cooking demos, music, and educational opportunities.

Southern Foodways Alliance
An organization dedicated to recording the stories behind the food traditions of the South. Check out their books, the Cornbread Nation series, their amazing oral history work, and compelling documentaries.

Giving Kitchen
Giving Kitchen is a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, GA, inspired by an outpouring of support from the hospitality industry when Chef Ryan Hidinger was diagnosed with late-stage cancer in December 2012. (Jessica worked under Ryan at Muss & Turners in 2005 so this organization is particularly dear to our hearts). GK provides direct grants to members of the metro Atlanta and Athens restaurant community who are in financial need, to help cover cost of living expenses while they recover from an accident, unanticipated illness, or natural disaster. GK also provides direct grants to workers with financial need to help pay for funeral arrangements for immediate family members.

Chef’s Collaborative

Chefs Collaborative is a national nonprofit network with a mission to inspire, educate, and celebrate chefs and food professionals building a better food system.

Collective Harvest

Collective Harvest is a collaboration of local family farms providing sustainably grown vegetables and fruits to Athens-area communities. ​Their mission is to foster a connection between small-scale farmers and the local community through a multi-farm CSA, local farmers markets, and select restaurants. Collective Harvest is committed to growing quality food using sustainable practices in order to enrich our local economy and be honest stewards of the land.

Community Meat Company

The Community Meat Co. is a Co-op of three farms in the Athens area. All focusing on raising the best quality, naturally raised meats on the market. Composed of Anderson Farms for pork, Little Flock for chickens & eggs, and Five Arrow Farms for beef, these farmers commit to being antibiotic and hormone free and are family owned and operated. Together the farms provide a sustainable meat CSA in 3 month blocks throughout the year.

Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful

An organization that educates and empowers citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification. They awarded us Beautiful Business of the Year for 2013 in a tie with Ted’s Most Best.

Historic Athens
Historic Athens seeks to be a prominent force in the development of understanding and appreciation of the value of historic buildings, neighborhoods, and heritage in our community. They awarded us their Excellence in Community Revitalization award in 2012 for the renovations we did to our space, a former car repair lot, and originally an Amoco built in the ’60’s.

Slow Food Greater Athens
Started in Italy to fight against the looming takeover of fast food restaurants, Slow Food has become an international force. Our local Athens chapter focuses on providing access to sustainably produced, harvested and prepared food in the greater Athens area. They strive to educate consumers about the economic, social and health benefits of locally grown food. They provide events and outreach programs to bring together business, academic and service institutions in the greater Athens area to ensure equity, sustainability and pleasure in the food we eat.

Our wonderful neighbor across the street provides delightful spa services 7 days a week. Ranging from massage & facials to pedicures & waxing, they provide a serene atmosphere in a renovated church to relax your day away. All of their products use natural & organic ingredients. Athens’ local alternative weekly newspaper, providing news, culture, a calendar of events, and many other resources to our community. They awarded us Athens’ Best Brunch in 2018.
